CBSE has released admit cards for private students of classes 10th and 12th; download them in these easy steps..
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the admit cards for private students of Classes 10 and 12. Students who are already registered can now download their hall tickets from the board's official website, cbse.gov.in. The board has clarified that no student will be allowed to enter the examination center without an admit card.
The CBSE board examinations for 2026 will be conducted between February 17 and April 9, 2026. Both theory and practical examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will be held during this period. Private candidates are advised to carry a printed copy of their admit card with them to the examination center.
How to Download the Admit Card
To download the admit card, candidates must first visit the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in. Then, they need to click on the link related to the admit cards for private candidates of Class 10 or 12. After filling in the required login information on the screen, submit the details. The admit card will then appear on the screen, which can be downloaded and a clear printout taken.
Carefully Check the Admit Card
The board has also advised students to carefully check all the information given on the admit card. If any error or discrepancy is found, they should immediately contact the concerned regional office so that corrections can be made in time.
The admit card contains important information such as the student's name, roll number, subjects and dates, details related to theory and practical exams, total marks, passing rules, name and address of the examination center, and center code. During the examination, students' identity and attendance are verified based on these details.
Verify Accreditation Before Admission
Meanwhile, CBSE recently issued an important warning for students and parents. Considering the 2026-27 academic session, the board has cautioned against taking admission in fake or unaccredited universities. CBSE has instructed schools to provide proper guidance to senior students and to ensure that they verify the accreditation of any institution on the UGC website before taking admission.
