CBSE LOC Correction 2026-27: There is important news for students appearing for the Class 10 and 12 board examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and their parents. CBSE has initiated the correction process for the List of Candidates (LOC) submitted by schools for the 2026-27 academic session. If there are any errors regarding a student's name, date of birth, or subject selection, schools can make corrections via the official website, cbse.gov.in, until November 7, 2026.

Students or parents cannot make changes directly.
CBSE has clarified that only schools are authorized to make changes to the submitted information. Students or parents cannot directly access the board's website to correct their details. Therefore, to rectify any errors, parents must immediately contact their child's school.

7 Essential CBSE Guidelines for Parents
1- Ensure that the student's name, date of birth, mother's name, and father's name are recorded accurately in the LOC.

2- All names should be written in full, avoiding the use of short forms or initials, as full names may be required for official documentation in the future.

3- Parents should ensure that the student's name includes a surname. This is particularly important if the student plans to study or travel abroad in the future, as many countries require a surname.

4- Carefully verify the student's date of birth to ensure there are no errors.

5- If the student already holds a passport, parents should confirm that the information provided in the LOC matches the details recorded in the passport exactly. 6- Students in classes 10 and 12 should carefully verify their chosen subjects. No changes to the subjects will be permitted once the correction window has closed.

7- The Board has clarified that it is the responsibility of parents to ensure that all information submitted to the CBSE is accurate.

In its official notice, the CBSE has stated that this correction facility provides schools, parents, and students with an additional opportunity to rectify data before the main examinations, ensuring that the board exams can be conducted transparently and without any complications.
