The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended by one day the deadline for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated Class 12 board examination answer sheets. The Board took this decision in light of technical glitches encountered on its website. Students can now submit their applications until May 23. Previously, the deadline had been set for May 22.

In an official circular issued on Tuesday, CBSE stated that technical difficulties were reported on the website associated with post-verification facilities. Consequently, the decision to extend the application deadline was taken with the objective of providing students with adequate time.

The Board has advised students and parents to utilize this extended timeframe to complete the application process. However, all other terms and conditions will remain unchanged.

**Students Raised Complaints on Social Media**
In fact, shortly after the application process commenced, several students took to social media to complain about difficulties regarding logging into the website, paying fees, and accessing the application links. Some students also reported that their applications could not be finalized even after the payment had been successfully processed.

CBSE had initiated the facility to obtain scanned copies from May 19 to May 22. This process was launched following the Board's commencement of the re-evaluation and verification procedures for answer sheets.

**Scanned Copies Available Between May 26 and May 29**
Students who apply for scanned copies will be able to view the scanned images of their answer sheets between May 26 and May 29.

**Major Changes Made to Fee Structure**
This year, CBSE has also implemented a significant reduction in fees. Previously, students were required to pay ₹700 to obtain a scanned copy; this fee has now been reduced to ₹100.

Additionally, the fee for the verification of answer sheets has been lowered from ₹500 to ₹100. Meanwhile, for re-evaluation, students will be charged a fee of ₹25 per question.
