Reasons for Revocation of Affiliation
The CBSE revoked the affiliation of Neerja Modi School in Jaipur and GD Goenka School in Gurugram due to non-compliance with safety regulations, prioritizing the safety of the students. Let's understand the reasons for the revocation of affiliation of both schools in detail.
GD Goenka School, Gurugram: The CBSE has revoked the affiliation of GD Goenka School for one session, i.e., 2026-27. The CBSE took this action against the school for violating safety regulations. In its investigation, the CBSE found that the school was sharing its building and campus with two other institutions. There was no boundary wall between them. This means that several institutions were operating within the school campus. The CBSE considered this a compromise on the safety of the students.
Neerja Modi School, Jaipur: The CBSE revoked the affiliation of Neerja Modi School in Jaipur in connection with the suicide case of a fourth-grade student, Amayra. 9-year-old Amayra committed suicide on the school campus a few months ago. The CBSE had a committee investigate the matter. The investigation revealed that Amayra was harassed at school. Despite being aware of the situation, the school administration did not address her problems. Furthermore, effective safety measures were not implemented at the school. Considering this, the CBSE has permanently revoked the affiliation of Neerja Modi School in Jaipur.
