CBSE has assigned principals the responsibility of implementing on-screen marking for teachers; Class 12 answer sheets will be checked digitally..
This year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be evaluating class 12th answer sheets on-screen. In light of this, the board has issued instructions to all school principals to provide teachers with practice on-screen copy checking to avoid any problems during evaluation.
Practice Link Available on OSM Portal
CBSE has made the practice link available on the OSM portal. All principals should ensure that teachers log in to their OASIS ID (Online Affiliated Schools Information System) and practice on the On-Screen Marking (OSM) portal.
Details Shared with Schools
The board has sent the On-Screen Marking (OSM) portal URL, evaluator login IDs, and passwords to the respective schools registered on the OSIS portal via email. Now, school principals must ensure that all 11th and 12th-grade teachers log in to the OSM portal and complete the mandatory practice sessions before the actual evaluation begins. This process will familiarize teachers with the process. Data will be monitored to monitor the completion of tasks assigned by the CBSE.
This time, 1 crore copies will be evaluated onscreen.
According to details shared by the CBSE, this time, 32 crore pages of over 1 crore 12th-grade answer sheets will be evaluated onscreen. According to a statement from the CBSE Examination Controller, this will save time and transportation costs associated with moving millions of answer sheets. Furthermore, teachers will be able to evaluate the answer sheets onscreen using computers in their school labs.
Board exams are scheduled for these dates.
The CBSE will conduct Class 10 board exams from February 17th to March 11th, while Class 12 board exams will be conducted from February 17th to April 10th, 2026. After the exams are completed, Class 12 answer sheets will be checked on-screen. However, Class 10 answer sheets will still be checked according to the previous pattern.
