The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun its board exams. The Mathematics and Home Science papers for Class 10 have concluded. Lakhs of students are stressed about their poor math performance. However, they are advised not to worry now and instead focus on other papers to improve their performance in future exams.

Re-examination of a poor paper
Students will be able to retake exams for their poor performance. It should be noted that the CBSE will conduct the Class 10 exams twice this year. Therefore, if you have failed in the Mathematics paper and are worried about not scoring well, don't worry. Once all the exams are over, students can prepare for the poor paper and appear for the board exam to achieve good scores.

Select Subjects
After the results are released, students who have scored poorly in subjects will be able to re-take the board exam by selecting three subjects and improving their results. Additionally, students who have compartment/supplementary exams will also be able to reappear and pass.

When will the second session exams be held?
After the completion of the first session exams, CBSE will declare the results in April. Applications for the second session will then be accepted. The second-chance board exam will be held from May 5, 2026, to May 20, 2026 (expected). The final results will then be released in June 2026. The official date sheet may be released after the results are released in April.
