This time, a record number of over 25 lakh candidates have applied, leading to a major change in the exam schedule.
CTET Exam to be held over 2 days
Initially, the CTET exam was scheduled for only February 8, but considering the large number of applicants, CBSE has now decided to conduct it over two days, February 7 and 8, 2026. The exam will be held in approximately 140 cities across the country. The exam will be conducted in two shifts on both days: the first shift from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and the second shift from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
When will the admit card be released?
Usually, the CTET admit card is released 2 days before the exam. Therefore, candidates whose exam is on February 7 are likely to receive their admit cards today, February 5, while those appearing on February 8 may receive their admit cards on February 6. The admit card will contain details of the examination center, shift reporting time, and important instructions.
How to download the CTET admit card?
To download the CTET admit card, first visit the official website ctet.nic.in.
Then, click on the CTET Admit Card February 2026 link on the homepage.
Now, enter your application number, date of birth, and captcha code.
Upon submitting this information, the admit card will appear on the screen. Finally, download your admit card and take a printout.
Important instructions related to the examination center:
Candidates are advised to report to the examination center at least 90 minutes to 2 hours before the exam. The entry gates will be closed as soon as the exam begins. It is mandatory to carry a photo identity card along with the admit card. The CTET exam is of 150 marks and there is no negative marking. A minimum of 60 percent marks are required for the general category, while 55 percent marks are required for the reserved categories.
