CBSE CSSS Scholarship 2025: Good news for meritorious students. CBSE has activated the application link for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students (CSSS) 2025-26. This scholarship is for meritorious students coming from economically weaker families. Applications are open for both fresh and renewal.

Students can also apply for first renewal (2024 batch), second renewal (2023 batch), third renewal (2022 batch), and fourth renewal (2021). Application for the CSSS scholarship is to be done by visiting the National Scholarship Portal https://scholarships.gov.in/Students. The last date for application is 31 October 2025.

82000 new scholarships every year

82000 new scholarships are given every year under the Central Sector Scheme Scholarship. This is for students pursuing graduation, post-graduation, and professional courses like medical, engineering, etc.

Who can apply?

Students should be studying in such colleges/institutes that are recognized by AICTE or related regulatory bodies.

Students should not be availing of any other scholarship, fee waiver scheme or government reimbursement.

Annual income of the family should be up to Rs. 5 lakhs.

How much scholarship is available?

UG – Rs. 12000 per year for the first three years. Students pursuing 5-year integrated/professional courses get Rs. 20000 per year for the fourth and fifth years. In technical subjects, Rs. 12000 per year is available for the first three years and Rs. 20000 per year for the fourth year.

PG Course – Rs. 20000 is available per year in PG courses.
