To foster better coordination between parents and schools, CBSE has released the 'CBSE Parenting Calendar' for the 2026-2027 academic session. Read on to discover how this calendar will be of assistance.

In these changing times, paying attention to children's mental and social well-being has become just as crucial as focusing on their academic studies. With this in mind, CBSE has launched the 'Parenting Calendar 2026-27,' enabling parents and teachers to collaborate in providing a more conducive environment for the children.

CBSE has introduced this new parenting calendar initiative for the upcoming session. Its objective is clear: to enhance communication between parents and schools, allowing both parties to collectively focus on the children's academic progress and behavioral development.

This initiative was first introduced during the previous academic session and received a positive response from the public. Consequently, it has been further refined and improved this time around to encourage maximum participation from both schools and parents.

In the new calendar, the activities have been structured more comprehensively than before. It features various sessions and interactive programs designed specifically for parents—facilitated with the assistance of teachers—to help them gain a deeper understanding of their children.

Several new topics have also been incorporated into the calendar, such as 'Inclusion' (creating an equitable environment for all children) and 'Adapting to Change' (adjusting to new syllabi and modern teaching methodologies).

Furthermore, the parenting workshops have been strengthened to provide parents with guidance tailored to their children's specific age groups. This will enable parents to better understand their children's needs and provide them with appropriate support.

CBSE has urged all affiliated schools to adopt this calendar and implement it effectively. By doing so, children will benefit from a supportive environment—both at home and at school—which will significantly contribute to their holistic development.
