CBSE: Countersignature on TC is no longer required; send it from headquarters; CBSE appeals to schools..
CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed all affiliated schools to no longer send any requests for countersignatures on Transfer Certificates (TCs) to the headquarters or regional offices. The board had previously discontinued the practice of requiring countersignatures on TCs when transferring from one CBSE school to another.
CBSE Statement
CBSE Examination Controller Sayyam Bhardwaj said, "The board's headquarters and regional offices are still receiving requests for countersignatures on transfer certificates from some schools. Schools' failure to adhere to CBSE guidelines not only causes inconvenience to parents and students but also hinders the process in this age of digitalization."
He further stated that countersignatures are no longer required on any transfer certificates and that all schools are mandated to comply with this directive.
What is the new directive?
Now, no stamp or countersignature will be required on the TC when a student is transferred from one CBSE school to another.
Schools will not need to send the TC to the headquarters or regional office.
This decision has been taken to make the process digital and simple.
