The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 12 results, categorized by stream. This year, the overall pass percentage for students in the CBSE examinations stands at 85.20%, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 88.86% and boys achieving 82.13%.
Additionally, a total of 163,800 students have received a 'Compartment' in the Class 12 examinations this year. Consequently, students who have failed in one or two subjects need not panic. These students can improve their scores by appearing for the Compartment Examination conducted by the CBSE.
**When will the Compartment Exam be held?**
The CBSE will conduct the Compartment Examination across various examination centers on July 15, 2026. Students wishing to improve their performance are eligible to appear for this examination. Furthermore, students who have received a Compartment in one or two subjects will also participate in this exam.
**Registration Begins on This Date**
Registration for the Compartment Examination will commence on June 2. Applications for the List of Candidates (LOC) will be accepted exclusively through online mode. Additionally, a detailed notification regarding the application process will be released by the CBSE shortly. Students who were unable to pass the Compartment Examination held in the previous year (2025) are also eligible to appear for this exam.
**163,800 Students Receive a Compartment**
Approximately 1,780,365 students had registered to appear for the CBSE examinations this time. In the Class 12 examinations held this year, a total of 1,507,109 students passed, while 163,800 students received a Compartment. Furthermore, in the CBSE Class 12 examinations, 94,028 students secured 90% marks, and 17,113 students achieved 95% marks.
