CBSE 12th Result 2026: The CBSE—or Central Board of Secondary Education—has released the Class 12 results. This year, a total of 85.20% of students have passed, although a slight decline in the pass percentage has been recorded compared to the previous year. Let us delve into the complete details regarding this year's results.

How did the results turn out this time?
In 2025, a total of 1,704,367 candidates were registered; of these, 1,692,794 appeared for the examination, and 1,496,307 were successful. The pass percentage for that year stood at 88.39%. In contrast, in 2026, the number of registered candidates rose to 1,780,365; out of these, 1,768,968 appeared, and 1,507,109 were successful.

Girls Deliver a Stellar Performance
In both the 2025 and 2026 results, girls have consistently outperformed boys. In 2026, the pass percentage for girls was 88.86%, while that for boys was 82.13%. Similarly, in 2025, girls took the lead with a pass percentage of 91.64%, whereas boys stood at 85.70%. The results for transgender candidates remained at 100% in both years. Thus, girls have performed approximately 6.73% better than boys.
