CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is organizing a special orientation program on entrance examinations and career guidance for school heads and counselors in the Shahjahanpur region of Uttar Pradesh. The program will be held on December 30, 2025, and aims to familiarize educators with strategies for providing better career guidance to students in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
According to the official notification issued by CBSE, principals, vice-principals, and school counselors from CBSE-affiliated schools in the Shahjahanpur (UP) region are eligible to participate in this orientation session.
Interested participants must register through a Google Form. Seats are limited, and registration will be done strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Selected participants will receive a confirmation email.
Program Time and Venue
This CBSE orientation program will be held at Seth MR Jaipuria School. The program is scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The board has requested participants to arrive at the venue by 9:30 AM to complete pre-program formalities.
Focus on Career Guidance in line with NEP 2020
CBSE has clarified that this program is a significant initiative towards developing a robust counseling system under the National Education Policy 2020. The board believes that students must receive the right information and guidance at the right time so that they can make career-related decisions based on their interests and abilities.
During the orientation session, principals and counselors will be provided with information on entrance examinations, higher education options, emerging career fields, internships, scholarships, and various academic opportunities. They will also be shared practical tools and strategies for guiding students.
No Registration Fee
CBSE has clarified that there will be no registration fee for this orientation program. However, all travel and accommodation expenses (TA/DA) will have to be borne by the participants themselves. According to the board, such programs will help strengthen career counseling at the school level and better prepare students for the changing academic and professional environment.
