CBSE: CBSE instructs schools to fill correct information in LOC for board exams; read here..

CBSE Board Exams 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reminded all affiliated schools to submit student data without any errors in the List of Candidates (LOC) for the 2025-26 main board examinations (Classes 10 and 12). The correction facility will be available on the official website, cbse.gov.in, from October 13th to 27th.
The board has stated that the spelling of students' names, dates of birth, and subject selections must be accurate and match the school's admission records.
Be careful in selecting subject codes.
CBSE has advised schools to pay special attention to subject codes when filling out the LOC.
For Class 10: Codes should be selected correctly: Hindi-A (002), Hindi-B (085), Urdu-A (003), Urdu-B (303), Mathematics (Standard) (041), Mathematics (Basic) (241), etc.
For Class 12: Subject codes such as Hindi Core (302), Hindi Elective (002), English Core (301), English Elective (001), Sanskrit Core (322), Sanskrit Elective (022), Urdu Core (303), Urdu Elective (003), Mathematics (041), Applied Maths (241) should be carefully selected.
Guidelines for the Correction Process
The Board has clarified that schools will be able to make corrections even after submitting the LOC until the deadline.
If a school has submitted the LOC on time and paid the fees, but later discovers an error in a student's data, it can be corrected until the deadline.
However, additional fees will be charged for making changes to the submitted details.
After the final submission, schools will be able to generate a data verification slip for each student. If any errors are found during that time, they will be able to update the information.
The same rules apply for grades 9 and 11.
The board has also clarified that changes to name, date of birth, and subject details can be made during the correction window from October 13 to 27. Furthermore, the same guidelines must be followed when filling out the LOC forms for grades 9 and 11.
