CBSE: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a significant clarification regarding the post-results procedures for Class 12 examinations for the 2021-22 academic session. According to an official notice dated May 24, 2026, certain technical glitches were encountered while processing applications for scanned copies of answer sheets. Consequently, discrepancies arose regarding the fee deductions for many students. In some instances, students were charged an excess amount, while in others—due to system errors—a lower fee was collected.

The Board has clarified that students who were overcharged will have the excess amount refunded to them via the same payment mode used for the transaction (e.g., UPI, Card, etc.). Students who were undercharged will be separately notified regarding the procedure to deposit the remaining balance. Furthermore, all affected students will be provided with their scanned answer sheets without the need to submit a fresh application.

**CBSE Alert Regarding Fake Circulars**
Issuing a "Fake News Alert" on its official social media accounts, CBSE has advised students and parents to remain vigilant. According to the Board, a fraudulent circular is being rapidly circulated on social media, falsely claiming that the processes for obtaining copies of answer sheets and for re-evaluation have been cancelled due to technical difficulties.

CBSE has categorically refuted this claim, stating that it is entirely baseless. The Board has clarified that the circular in question is fake and that students should not place any credence in such rumors. In its social media post, CBSE wrote: "Beware of fake news and rumors. Verify any information solely through the official CBSE website."
