Global conditions are changing rapidly due to the conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States. The impact of this war has now begun to affect the lives of ordinary citizens as well. Thousands of people remain stranded in war-torn regions. Meanwhile, children's education is also being disrupted; schools and colleges currently remain closed. Amidst this situation, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a major decision. In light of the prevailing circumstances amidst the US-Iran conflict, the Board has decided to cancel all Class 12 board examinations across several countries in the Middle East.

The CBSE Board has announced that all Class 12 examinations scheduled to be held between March 16 and April 10, 2026, in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia will no longer be conducted. The reason cited for this decision is the prevailing situation in these regions; due to the ongoing conflict, it is not feasible to conduct examinations there. Consequently, the decision to cancel the exams was taken.

Before this, the CBSE had already cancelled all Class 10 board examinations in these countries and had rescheduled the Class 12 examinations originally slated for March 16. At the time the examination schedule was revised, it was anticipated that the situation would improve. However, instead of improving, conditions have deteriorated rapidly. It is for this reason—prioritizing the safety and security of the students—that the Board has taken this decision.

How will the results be declared?
The Board has stated that those examinations which were previously postponed via circulars issued on March 1, March 3, March 5, March 7, and March 9 will now also be deemed cancelled. According to the CBSE, details regarding the specific methodology for declaring the results of Class 12 students in these countries will be provided separately at a later date.

The 15-day-long conflict between Iran and Israel
Today marks the 16th day of the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. Since the very onset of hostilities, both sides have been engaging in continuous attacks. These attacks have resulted in the deaths of thousands of people, including several senior officials. Meanwhile, a large number of people have fled their homes. The global tourism and travel sector has also been severely impacted by the conflict in Iran. However, no country has yet issued an appeal to halt the fighting. This is precisely why people are facing even greater hardships.
