The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued important information for private students appearing in the 2026 board examinations. The admit cards for Class 10th and 12th private candidates are now available online. Candidates who registered under the private category can download their admit cards from the official website.

When will the exams be held?

According to the examination schedule released by the CBSE, the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations will begin on February 17, 2026, and continue until April 9, 2026. The examinations will be conducted at designated examination centers across the country. All students are advised to reach the examination center before the scheduled time.

Why is the admit card necessary?

The board has clarified that the admit card is a mandatory document for entry into the examination center. No candidate will be allowed to sit in the examination hall without a printed copy of the admit card.  A mobile or digital copy will not be accepted.

What information will the admit card contain?

The CBSE admit card contains several important details related to the student. This includes the candidate's name, roll number, subject-wise exam dates, details of theory and practical examinations, total marks, passing rules, examination center address, center code, and important instructions related to the examination.

What should students do if they find an error?

The CBSE has advised students to carefully check all the details mentioned on the admit card after downloading it. If any error is found in the name, subject, examination center, or any other information, contact the concerned regional CBSE office immediately so that corrections can be made in time.

The board's strict guidelines regarding the examination

The board has issued instructions to maintain discipline during the examination. Students must arrive at the examination center on time, carry a valid identity card, and strictly adhere to all rules issued by the board. Any negligence may lead to problems during the examination.

CBSE's Warning Regarding Fake Colleges

Recently, CBSE also warned students and parents to be cautious of fake and unaccredited universities. The board has instructed schools to provide proper guidance to senior students and to ensure that they verify the accreditation of any institution on the UGC's official website before enrolling.
