CBSE Board Exam 2027: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the preliminary processes for the Class 10 and 12 board exams scheduled for next year. The Board has invited bids to hire an agency for scanning 'flying slips' and finalizing the data derived from them. Additionally, the Board has directed schools to provide necessary information before the submission of the 'List of Candidates' (LOC).

According to a recent CBSE notification, schools must provide advance information regarding students set to appear for the Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2027. This step is part of the Board's efforts to streamline examination procedures and rectify student records before the formal submission of the LOC.

Why is the advance information process necessary?
The LOC is a crucial component of the CBSE board exam process, as it contains details of the students appearing for the exams. Errors in student details, subjects, or other exam-related information can lead to complications later on. By initiating this process early, CBSE aims to provide schools with sufficient time to verify and correct information before the final examination records are prepared.

The Board has also emphasized the need to adhere to prescribed guidelines while submitting the required information. Before completing the process, schools must coordinate with students and verify the relevant details.

CBSE to release Board Exam 2027 schedule soon

CBSE will soon release the (tentative) date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 board exams of 2027. The date sheet for the 2026 board exams was released on September 24, 2025. The Board typically releases the date sheets for both Class 10 and 12 on the same day. The CBSE date sheet is made available in PDF format on the official website, cbse.gov.in.
