CBSE Board Exam 2026: CBSE has released the registration dates for 10th and 12th board exam 2026. Registration will start from 29 August and will run till 30 September 2025. This time the board has implemented many new rules regarding the board exam (CBSE Board Exam 2026), which will have to be followed by students and schools. It is especially important to give correct information during registration as there will be no correction later. Also, it will be mandatory to follow the exam fee, Apaar ID and other guidelines.
CBSE Board Exam 2026: Registration Fee
CBSE has made it clear that students who do not register on time will have to pay late fee from October 3 to October 11. The late fee has been fixed at Rs 2000. On the other hand, talking about the exam fee, students of class 10th and 12th will have to deposit Rs 1600 for five subjects and Rs 320 for each additional subject. An additional fee of Rs 160 per subject will have to be paid on practical subjects of class 12th. Visually impaired students have been completely exempted from exam fees.
Strictness in LOC
This time the board has clarified that no kind of mistake or correction will be allowed while preparing the LOC (List of Candidates). Once the data is uploaded, the schools will neither be able to change the number of students nor make other corrections. In such a situation, schools have been instructed to fill the name of the students, the name of the parents and the date of birth correctly. Also, it has been advised to double-check the subject code and combination.
Apaar ID is mandatory
Registration will be done only for those students who have Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR ID). Bihar Public School and Children Welfare Association, an organization of private schools, has objected to this rule. The organization's president DK Singh and secretary Prem Ranjan have written a letter to the Prime Minister demanding withdrawal of this order. They say that this decision is a matter of concern for the future of the children as well as the schools.
