CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 10 and 12 board exams are starting on February 17, 2026.  The countdown to the CBSE board exams has officially begun. Naturally, students have many questions about their performance and results. While such questions are normal, they can sometimes lead to fear and stress. Consequently, students' preparations for the board exams are affected. Often, parents of students appearing for the board exams also experience stress regarding their child's performance, results, and preparations. This situation also affects the students. Considering all these factors, CBSE has launched its annual psycho-social counseling support. Under this support system, CBSE has deployed 73 trained counselors across India and abroad. Counseling will be available 24 hours a day for students and parents.

Let's find out when and for how long CBSE's psycho-social counseling support will be available. How can a student and parent contact this support system? We will also learn about other effective steps CBSE has taken to reduce the stress of board exams for students.

CBSE's Psycho-Social Counseling Support until June 1st
CBSE has started its psycho-social counseling support from January 5, 2026. CBSE has stated that, keeping the interests of the students in mind, the first phase of its annual free psycho-social counseling services for Class 10 and 12 board examinees has started from January 6 and will continue until June 1, 2026. CBSE says that this initiative aims to alleviate exam-related stress so that students can participate in the board exams, starting on February 17, 2026, with confidence, composure, and mental clarity.

Counseling via Phone Call, 24/7 Support
Under CBSE's psycho-social counseling support, this counseling will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for board examinees. Board exam candidates can connect with this counseling support system through a phone call. According to CBSE, students and parents can access 24/7 support in Hindi and English through an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) by dialing 1800118004. This service provides practical guidance on stress-free preparation, effective time and stress management, answers to frequently asked questions, and important CBSE-related contact information that students can use when needed.

73 counselors will provide free counseling to board exam candidates.
Tele-counseling services are also available for students under CBSE's psycho-social counseling support. This service is available from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday. Through this service, students and their parents can interact with a panel of 73 trained counselors. This panel includes principals, counselors, special educators, and qualified psychologists from CBSE-affiliated schools. Of these, 61 counselors are located in India, while 12 counselors are based in Nepal, Japan, Qatar, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, ensuring a comprehensive and diverse support network voluntarily.
