In this episode, CBSE has issued guidelines regarding the list of board examinees, i.e., List of Candidates (LOC), before the board examinations. On one hand, instructions have been given to the school principals regarding LOC in the guidelines. At the same time, it has been announced to implement a new system to correct mistakes like name and date of birth in the mark sheet.

If we understand the essence of the LOC guidelines of CBSE, then from this year the board examinees will have to pay more money as the examination fee. At the same time, only those students will be able to appear in the board examination who have an APAAR ID. Let us know what is the whole matter?

Three board examinations in 2026
CBSE has started preparations for the board examinations to be held in 2026. In this regard, CBSE has directed the school principals to provide the list of students appearing in the board examination. CBSE has said that from the year 2026, two board examinations of class 10th will be conducted, while one board examination of class 12th will be conducted. That is, three board examinations will be conducted in 2026.

CBSE has clarified in the guidelines that the list of students is to be uploaded only for the main, i.e., compulsory examination of class 10th. The list of students for the second examination will be uploaded after the result is released. However, this list will be uploaded online only, which will be uploaded by the school. CBSE has clarified that only those students whose names will be uploaded online in the LOC will be able to appear in the board examination.

APAAR ID made mandatory
CBSE has made the Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID mandatory for 10th and 12th board examinations. In the guidelines issued for LOC, school principals have been instructed not to upload LOC without an APAAR ID.

Board examinees will have to pay more fees.
CBSE has implemented the increased examination fee from this year itself. Now, students appearing for 10th and 12th board exams will have to pay 20 rupees extra. According to CBSE LOC guidelines, Indian students will now have to pay Rs 320 per subject for the board exam. In this way, a fee of Rs 1650 will have to be paid for 5 subjects. Earlier, the fee was Rs 300 per subject.

Fees will be deposited by September 30
CBSE has started preparations for the 10th and 12th board exams. Schools have been asked to upload the LOC for this. That is, students will have to fill out the examination form for this. CBSE has set the time from 29 August to 30 September for depositing the fees. This means that the board exam candidates will have to deposit the fees while filling the exam form by September 30.
