The Central Board of Secondary Education Class 12 Result 2026 has brought nationwide attention to Rajasthan’s Sikar district after student Tanya Sawnsukha secured an extraordinary 499 marks out of 500 in the Arts stream. Her near-perfect score has made her one of the biggest success stories of this year’s CBSE board examinations.

Tanya, a student of Prince Academy, achieved All India Rank 1 in the CBSE Class 12 examinations with an impressive overall percentage of 99.80%. Her remarkable marksheet has now become a major talking point among students, parents, and educators across the country.

Tanya Sawnsukha’s Outstanding Performance

According to the result details released after the declaration of the board results on May 13, Tanya delivered an exceptional performance across almost every subject.

Subject-Wise Marks

  • English – 100/100
  • Political Science – 100/100
  • Geography – 100/100
  • Painting – 100/100
  • History – 99/100

With these scores, Tanya finished just one mark short of a perfect 500.

Arts Stream Student Tops Nationally

One of the most notable aspects of this year’s result is that the national topper comes from the Arts stream. In recent years, discussions around board toppers have often focused heavily on Science students, but Tanya’s achievement has once again highlighted the strong academic potential of Humanities students.

Education experts believe her result may inspire more students to confidently choose Arts subjects without hesitation.

Tanya Dreams of Becoming an IAS Officer

After completing her Class 12 education, Tanya reportedly aims to join India’s administrative services in the future. She has expressed her desire to crack the UPSC Civil Services Examination and become an IAS officer.

Tanya credited her success to the support of her parents — businessman Tarun Sawnsukha and homemaker Vinita Sawnsukha — along with disciplined preparation and consistent study habits.

Although the overall national pass percentage declined compared to last year, female students continued to maintain stronger performance overall.

Trivandrum Emerges as Best Performing Region
