Will a CBSE Class 12 Toppers List be released?

CBSE officially discontinued the release of topper lists starting from the year 2020. The Board's objective is to mitigate the intense competition for marks and the associated mental stress among students. The Board also refrains from disclosing information regarding First, Second, or Third Divisions. However, students who secure marks within the top 0.1% in any subject are honored with a ‘Certificate of Merit.’

CBSE Class 12 Passing Criteria and Rules
To pass the CBSE Class 12 examinations in 2026, students are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks in each subject. It is mandatory to pass separately in both the theoretical and practical components of each subject. If a student fails to clear a particular subject, they will be allowed to appear for the Compartment Examination scheduled for July. This allows for an improvement in their results and helps them avoid being labeled as 'failed.'
