The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is poised to release the results for the Class 12 Board Examinations 2026 shortly. Based on trends observed over the last few years, the results are usually declared during the second week of May. Consequently, it is anticipated that the results could be released anytime on May 12 or May 13. However, the Board has not yet made an official announcement regarding the exact date and time. This year, approximately 18.5 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Board Examinations. The examinations commenced on February 17 and concluded on April 10, 2026. As a result, students are now eagerly awaiting their results. Speculation regarding the results has intensified following the Board’s preparations and the updates currently visible on DigiLocker.

Results Likely to be Released This Week

Just a short while ago, CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj indicated that the Class 12 mark sheets could be issued by the third week of May. However, an analysis of patterns from previous years reveals that the results were released on May 13 in both 2025 and 2024, while in 2023, the results were declared on May 12. For this reason, it is widely believed that the results could be released anytime within this week.

Websites to Check Results

Once the results are released, students will be able to view their scorecards on the official CBSE websites and portals. These websites include cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in, and the DigiLocker website. Meanwhile, the Board has advised students to keep their Roll Number, School Number, Admit Card ID, and Date of Birth ready in advance so that their scorecard can be easily downloaded as soon as the results are released.

How ​​to Download the CBSE Class 12 Results

To access the CBSE Class 12 results, first visit the official websites: cbse.gov.in or results.cbse.nic.in.
Next, click on the “CBSE 12th Result 2026” link.
Now, enter your Roll Number, School Number, and Admit Card ID.
After entering all the required details, click “OK,” and your result will appear on the screen.
Students can download the digital marksheet of their result and take a printout for safekeeping.

Results Can Also Be Checked on DigiLocker and the UMANG App

CBSE students will be able to download their digital marksheets through the DigiLocker and UMANG apps.
After logging into DigiLocker, students must navigate to the “Education” section and select the “CBSE Class 12th Marksheet 2026” option.
Similarly, on the UMANG app, results can be viewed by entering the Roll Number and Date of Birth.
The digital marksheet issued by the Board will be fully valid for college admissions and document verification purposes.
Students will subsequently receive their original marksheets through their respective schools.
