CBSE 12th Re-Evaluation 2026: Demand to Further Extend the Application Deadline for Scanned Copies of CBSE Class 12 Answer Sheets..
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently extended the deadline for Class 12 students to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets for the 2026 board examinations, as the online portal provided by the CBSE for this purpose was non-functional. Although the process commenced on May 20, students continue to face difficulties. While some are encountering issues with making payments, others have completed the transaction but see no corresponding update or status reflected on the website. Consequently, students have once again taken to social media to complain that the site is glitchy and inaccessible. In light of these issues, students have once again demanded a further extension of the application deadline.
There are also numerous students complaining that, despite having made the payment and having the funds deducted from their accounts—the website is displaying the transaction status as "Failed." Complaining on social media, one user wrote: "I am facing payment-related issues on the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal. I made a payment via UPI yesterday; the money has been debited from my account, but the portal has not updated to reflect this. The CBSE landline numbers are constantly busy, and I have received no response to my emails."
**Over 1.27 Lakh Students Have Applied**
However, last Wednesday, the CBSE announced via social media that the online application portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer sheets is now functioning smoothly, and applications are being submitted successfully. The CBSE also stated that over 1.27 lakh students have applied to obtain 3.87 lakh scanned copies of answer sheets. This data was recorded as of 7:30 PM on May 20. Applications for Verification: May 26 to May 29
CBSE has also confirmed that students dissatisfied with their marks in the Class 12 Board examinations will be able to apply online for the verification and re-evaluation of their results. The Board stated that applications for re-evaluation and verification can be submitted between May 26 and May 29, 2026.
CBSE Reduces Fees
This year, the Board has significantly reduced the fees for services available following the Class 12 results. The fee for obtaining photocopies or scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets has been reduced from ₹700 to ₹100. Similarly, the verification fee has also been lowered to ₹100. Meanwhile, for re-evaluation, students will be required to pay ₹25 per question. CBSE further added that students whose marks increase following the re-evaluation process will be refunded the re-evaluation fee.
