CBSE 10th Result 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is not releasing the Class 10 Board results on April 14. Several media reports had claimed that CBSE might release the Class 10 Board results on April 14. However, CBSE has not yet issued any confirmation regarding this. Nevertheless, CBSE has completed all preparations for the release of the Class 10 Board results. In this regard, a post was shared from the official DigiLocker account on the social media platform 'X', urging students not to wait but to be prepared.

Let us find out when the CBSE Class 10 Board results will actually be released. We will also look at what DigiLocker has posted regarding the CBSE Class 10 Board results, and learn how students can check their results.

**Results Likely to be Released Before April 20**
This time, the CBSE Class 10 Board results may be released earlier than the Class 12 results. The reason for this is the upcoming second examination for Class 10 students. According to available information, the second examination for CBSE Class 10 is likely to be conducted starting May 15. Consequently, CBSE is working on a plan to release the results of the first Class 10 Board examination during the month of April; under this plan, the Class 10 results could be released before April 20.

**What Did DigiLocker Post Regarding the Class 10 Results?**
DigiLocker has posted an update regarding the CBSE Class 10 Board results. Notably, the DigiLocker account on the social media platform 'X' is managed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. In its post, DigiLocker advised students not to wait until the day of the results but to set up their accounts in advance—a clear indication that the results are likely to be released very soon.

Specifically, DigiLocker has issued detailed instructions—accessible via the CBSE Service Portal—for those students who do not yet possess an APAAR ID, guiding them on how to create their accounts. It states that students whose APAAR IDs are linked with the CBSE will receive their digital mark sheets directly in the "Issued Documents" section as soon as the results are declared.

**Class 10 Second Examination from May 15**
The CBSE has announced that it will conduct a second examination for the Class 10 Board starting this year. Under this initiative, the second CBSE Class 10 Board examination is scheduled to be held from May 15 to June 1. Notably, only those students who appeared for the first examination are eligible to take the second examination in a maximum of three subjects.

**Passing Criteria: Required Marks**
Regarding the minimum passing marks for the CBSE Class 10 Board examination, students are required to secure at least 33 percent marks to pass. Specifically, while the general rule requires students to obtain a total aggregate of 33 percent marks to pass, they must also secure 33 percent marks in each subject. If a student obtains less than 33 percent marks in one or two subjects, they are allowed to appear for a compartment examination. Conversely, a student who secures less than 33 percent marks in more than two subjects is declared as failed.
