CAT 2026 Registration: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore has initiated the registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2026). Eligible candidates can apply via the official website. The application deadline is September 15, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Candidates are advised to complete the application process well in time rather than waiting until the last moment.
Who is eligible to apply for CAT 2026?
To apply for CAT 2026, candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized university. Candidates belonging to the General, EWS, and OBC categories must have secured at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade. A minimum of 45% marks is required for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PwD (Persons with Disabilities) categories. Additionally, students currently in their final year of graduation or those awaiting their results are also eligible to apply. Candidates holding professional qualifications such as CA, CS, CMA, or ICWAI are also eligible.
Application Fee and Exam Date
The application fee has been increased this year. Candidates in the General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹2,700. For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is set at ₹1,350. This is a one-time fee, regardless of the number of IIM programs a candidate selects. CAT 2026 will be conducted on November 29, 2026, in a computer-based test mode. The exam will be held across approximately 170 cities in the country in three shifts. During the application process, candidates will be required to select five exam cities of their choice. If seats are unavailable in all the selected cities, the commission will allocate a nearby city.
Admit Card and Result
CAT 2026 admit cards will be available for download starting November 4, 2026. The results are likely to be declared in the first week of January 2026. The CAT 2026 score will be valid until December 31, 2027, and will serve as the basis for admission to IIMs and various other leading management institutes.
How to Apply
To apply for CAT 2026, candidates should first visit the official website, iimcat.ac.in.
Click on 'New Candidate Registration'.
Register by entering your name, email ID, and mobile number.
Log in using the User ID and password received after OTP verification.
Enter personal details, academic information, and other required details.
Upload the specified documents.
Select your preferred IIM programs and five exam cities.
Finally, preview the application form, accept the declaration, pay the fee online, and submit the form.
