The CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) 2026 exam will be held on December 7th. It provides admission to the country's 25 National Law Universities. Approximately 60,000 to 75,000 students participate each year, while the total number of seats is only 5,790. The annual undergraduate fees here are approximately ₹300,000 to ₹400,000. Therefore, students prepare for exams like AILET and CUET alongside CLAT. Significantly, CLAT PG scores are also accepted by many government institutions, such as Coal India, Oil India, and for recruitment to the post of Judge Advocate General in the Indian Army. The India International University of Legal Education and Research (IIULER), Goa, is the only law university established by the Bar Council of India Trust. Admission is also based on CLAT scores.

All India Law Entrance Test (AILET): This exam is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi. The exam will be held online on December 14th from 2 pm to 4 pm. It offers admission to BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, and PhD courses. AILET is completely separate from CLAT, and NLU Delhi does not accept CLAT scores.
