Proposal Sent to Lieutenant Governor
Tanveer Sadiq, MLA from Zadibal, stated in a social media post that the Jammu and Kashmir government has approved the relaxation of the upper age limit for recruitment to government jobs in the Union Territory. He stated that the Secretariat informed him that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has approved the age relaxation and forwarded the proposal. He added that the proposal has now been sent to the Raj Bhavan for Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha's approval.
Which youth will benefit?
If Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha approves this proposal of the Jammu and Kashmir government, it will be a major relief for many youth in the valley who are overage. While preparing for government jobs, young people who become overage often become discouraged and start working elsewhere.
