Meanwhile, for recruitment into Group B services, the maximum age limit for candidates has been set at 44 years. The government has clarified that for posts where a higher age limit is already in force, the existing regulations will continue to apply.

The government has also introduced a major change regarding posts in the Group C and Group D categories. Candidates applying for these positions will now be eligible to participate in the recruitment process up to the age of 45. **Rules to Apply to Non-PSC Recruitments as well**
The notification further states that these new age limits will also apply to recruitment processes conducted outside the purview of the West Bengal Public Service Commission (PSC). For appointments within the state's statutory bodies, government-owned companies, and local authorities, the maximum age limit has been fixed at 45 years.
