BTech Admission: There is a tremendous craze among students for admission to engineering colleges. In this too, everyone wants admission to government engineering college. But on the other hand, the seats in government engineering colleges of Bihar are getting filled. Even after the second round of counseling, more than half the seats are vacant.
According to the report, only 46 percent of the students have been admitted so far based on the second merit list. This means that admission was to be done on 13675 seats in 38 government engineering colleges of the state. However, admission has been done on only 6420 (46.95) seats. While 7255 seats are left vacant.
There will be no mop-up round.
This time there will be no mop-up round counseling in admission to engineering colleges of Bihar. According to the instructions issued by the Department of Science and Technical Education, online counseling will be done twice by the Bihar Joint Entrance Examination Board based on the merit list of JEE Mains.
Choice filling for admission to vacant seats till September 23
Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has said that it has been decided to fill the remaining seats in engineering colleges with candidates of PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Math) group based on the combined merit list of Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECEB) 2024. Online counseling is to be done as per merit-cum-choice from the PCM group. Choice filling for admission to vacant seats can be done till September 23.
