BTech Admission 2025: 70 thousand BTech seats are vacant in Uttar Pradesh. Now AKTU has decided to give admission without JEE and CUET. Through special counseling, students will also be able to get admission on the basis of 12th marks.

B Tech Admission 2025: There is big news for the students studying engineering in Uttar Pradesh. About 70 thousand BTech seats are still vacant. To fill these seats, preparations for admission have started even without JEE and CUET UG. This will especially benefit those students who could not appear in JEE Mains or CUET due to some reason.

Vacant seats even after five rounds of AKTU counseling

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) conducts counseling process every year for B.Tech admission. This year also a total of five rounds of counseling have been completed. According to official information, about 31 thousand seats have been filled in these five rounds, while only 4 thousand students have registered for the sixth round. Despite this, 70 thousand seats remain vacant. Out of this, about 1900 seats are also vacant in government engineering colleges.

Special counseling without JEE and CUET

AKTU has released a special counseling program to fill these vacant seats. Under this, there will be two special rounds for admission in B.Tech. The special thing is that admission in these rounds will be given on the basis of JEE and CUET UG scores as well as 12th marks.

Admission will be done like this

The last date for registration and fee submission for the first round of special counseling has been fixed as 28 August 2025. Choice filling can be done till 31 August and seat allotment will be done on 2 September. The registration process for the second round will be done on 7 and 8 September. During this time the fee will have to be deposited. Choice filling will be done till 10 September and seat allotment will be released on 11 September.

That is, the students who have missed the chance till now still have a golden opportunity to get admission in engineering.
