BSSC Field Assistant Exam 2025: An important update has come out for the youth preparing for government jobs in Bihar. Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has announced the date of recruitment examination for Field Assistant (Agriculture Department) posts. This exam will be conducted on 11th July 2025.

BSSC has shared the exam date information on its official website bssc.bihar.gov.in. This information is very important for the candidates preparing for the exam.

A total of 201 posts will be appointed, 35% reserved for women

A total of 201 Field Assistant posts will be filled under this recruitment drive. Out of these, 67 posts (35%) are reserved for women.

The details of vacancies in other categories are as follows:
Unreserved (General): 79 posts
SC: 35 posts
ST: 2 posts
EBC: 20 posts
Backward Classes (BC): 21 posts
Women of Extremely Backward Classes: 7 posts
MBC: 37 posts

Admit cards for the exam will be released soon.
This exam date has brought great relief for the candidates who have applied between 25 April to 21 May 2025. Candidates are advised to take the preparation of the exam to the final stage and keep an eye on the official website of BSSC for admit card download links and other updates.

Eligibility and Selection Process
Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC) has demanded specific educational qualifications and age limits from the candidates for the post of Field Assistant (Agriculture Department). Candidates applying for this recruitment must have an ISC (Agriculture) or Diploma in Agriculture from a recognized board or institute. It is worth noting that any other equivalent educational qualification will not be considered valid.

Talking about the age limit, it will be based on 01 August 2025. The minimum age for men of the general category is 18 years and the maximum is 37 years. At the same time, the maximum age limit for women of the general category, BC / OBC category (male/female) is 40 years. The age limit for the SC / ST category (male/female) has been kept up to 42 years.

The selection process will be completed in two stages - first, the preliminary examination (Prelims) and then the main examination (Mains) will be conducted. Finally selected candidates will be given a monthly pay scale of ₹ 5200-₹ 20200 and ₹ 1900 grade pay as per Level-2.
