There is important news for candidates who missed the initial September 15 deadline to apply for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar STET 2026). The Bihar School Examination Board has once again extended the deadline for submitting online applications to September 22, 2026. Consequently, aspiring candidates planning to participate in the Bihar teacher recruitment drive (BPSC TRE 4) should complete the application process as soon as possible.

**Tentative Exam Date Announced**
The Bihar School Examination Board has shared details regarding the tentative month for the STET exam. According to information shared on X (formerly Twitter), the STET exam is scheduled to commence in the first week of November 2026.

**Application Fees Based on Paper and Category**
Candidates from the General, BC, and EWS categories applying for a single paper in the Bihar STET exam must pay a fee of ₹960, while those applying for both papers must pay ₹1,440. Meanwhile, candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and PH categories are required to pay ₹760 for a single paper and ₹1,140 for both papers. The fee can be paid online.

After uploading your photograph and signature, pay the fee according to the paper and category. Finally, submit the form, take a printout, and keep it safe for future reference.

Additionally, the candidate must be at least 21 years old; the maximum age limit is 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates.
