The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has provided significant relief to students seeking admission to Class 11 through the OFSS portal. The Board has extended the deadline for admissions for the academic session 2026-28 under the Online Facilitation System for Students (OFSS). Now, students selected in the first merit list will be able to complete their admission process by May 18, 2026.

Previously, this process was scheduled to take place from May 5 to May 12, 2026. However, due to the failure of many students to secure admission within the stipulated timeframe, the Board decided to extend the deadlines for both applications and admissions.

**Revised Schedule Released**
According to the revised schedule issued by the Bihar Board, information regarding admissions conducted on May 14 must be updated by the respective institutions on the OFSS portal by May 15. Similarly, it is mandatory to upload data regarding admissions completed by May 18 by May 19.

The Board has clarified that all schools and colleges are required to update the OFSS portal on a daily basis. Additionally, May 19, 2026, has been set as the final deadline for online data entry and document verification.

**How to Check Selection Status**
Students can check their seat allotment status by visiting the OFSS portal. To do so, candidates must log in to the official website.

**Process to Check Seat Allotment**
First, visit the official OFSS website: ofssbihar.net.

Subsequently, visit the allotted institution with the necessary documents to complete the admission process.
**Seat Will Be Cancelled if Deadline is Not Met**
Issuing a warning to students, the Bihar Board has stated that if the admission process is not completed within the stipulated extended deadline, the allotted seat will be automatically cancelled. Such vacant seats will subsequently be allotted to students included in the second merit list. The Board has appealed to students and parents to complete the admission process on time so that they do not face any difficulties in the future.
