A total of 13,17,846 students will appear for the Bihar Board 12th examination, which will be held between February 2nd and February 13th, 2026. This time too, the number of female students (6,75,844) is higher than that of male students (6,42,002), which testifies to the changing educational landscape in Bihar.

The Bihar Board has made it clear that strict action will be taken against those who cheat in the examination. No one will be able to get away with cheating at the examination centers. CCTV cameras and videographers have been deployed at the Bihar Board examination centers. Section 163 (formerly Section 144) will be imposed within a 200-meter radius of the examination center. Pay close attention to the Bihar Board examination 2026 timings. If you arrive late at the center, your year-long hard work could go to waste. There will be no other way to enter after the examination center gate is closed.

Bihar Board Inter Exam 2026 Guidelines
The Bihar School Examination Board has issued strict guidelines for the 12th-grade examinations. Those who do not follow them will be expelled from the examination center. Those who arrive late will not be allowed entry into the examination center.

The Bihar Board has made a major change in the entry time at the examination center. Now, students will have to reach the center one hour before the start of the examination. The first shift will start at 9:30 AM, for which entry will begin at 8:30 AM, but the gate will be closed at 9:00 AM. The second shift will be held from 1:00 PM instead of 2:00 PM, for which entry will begin at 12:00 PM.

Climbing over the wall or forced entry will result in a 2-year ban.

The Bihar Board has adopted a very strict stance on discipline. If any student attempts to force their way in after the gate is closed or climbs over the wall to enter, an FIR will be registered against them, and they will also be barred from appearing in the examination for the next two years. Indiscipline will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Frisking will be conducted at two levels:
Carrying mobile phones or any kind of electronic gadgets inside the Bihar Board examination center 2026 is strictly prohibited. Students will be frisked at two levels: once at the gate and again before entering the classroom. Videography arrangements have been made at the Bihar Board examination centers to monitor all activities.
