BPSC Judicial Service Exam: There is bad news for candidates preparing for the judicial services in Bihar. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a notification regarding the Judicial Service Preliminary Examination. Under this notification, the examination has been postponed with immediate effect. In other words, the 33rd Judicial Service Preliminary Examination, scheduled to be held on June 3, has been temporarily deferred. In its notice, the BPSC stated that this decision was taken following an interim order passed by the Supreme Court. The revised date for this examination will be announced later.

It is worth noting that the Supreme Court passed this order on May 22, 2026, while hearing a writ petition. It was in light of this very order from the Supreme Court that the BPSC decided to postpone the Judicial Service Preliminary Examination scheduled for June 3.

Notice Issued by BPSC

In its notice, the BPSC stated that the examination will not be conducted for the time being. However, no information has yet been provided regarding when the examination will be held in the future. Candidates have been advised to stay in touch with the Commission for further updates.

BPSC Had Postponed Another Exam Earlier

It is pertinent to mention that the BPSC had previously also postponed the Project Manager Recruitment Examination, which falls under the Department of Industries. This examination was scheduled to be held on May 30, 2026. However, it too has been deferred, and the next date for this examination has not yet been announced.
