Recruitment for over 33,000 posts
This recruitment drive is for government schools under the Bihar Education Department. It involves the hiring of 33,320 teachers for classes 1 through 12. The number of vacancies was initially 32,388, but the Commission later increased it.

Who is eligible to apply?

For classes 1 to 5, candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their 12th-grade examination, completed a two-year D.El.Ed course, and passed either the Bihar TET Paper-1 or the CTET.

For middle school (classes 6 to 8), candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject along with a D.El.Ed. or B.Ed. qualification. Additionally, they must have passed TET Paper-2.

For secondary school (classes 9 and 10), candidates must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed. Passing the STET Paper-1 is also mandatory.

For higher secondary school (classes 11 and 12), candidates must hold a master’s degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed. Additionally, passing the STET Paper-2 is mandatory.

When will the examination be held?
The examination date for the Bihar Public Service Commission’s BPSC TRE 4 has not yet been determined. Initially, it was estimated that the examination might take place between December 2026 and January 2027. Now, with the extension of the application deadline, the schedule is likely to change. The commission will also announce the dates for the release of admit cards and results at a later stage.
