This is important news for candidates preparing for the teacher recruitment examination. Following the success of 256,301 candidates in the Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) conducted by the Bihar School Examination Board, the Education Department has intensified its efforts towards recruitment. The reservation roster registers have been received from almost all districts. Preparations for issuing the vacancy notification have been accelerated. Education Minister Sunil Kumar said that the government is completely serious about teacher appointments and there will be no delay in the process. The teacher recruitment process will be further expedited in the coming days to quickly address the shortage of teachers in schools. The minister said that the reservation roster registers for the appointment of school teachers in the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment examination have been received from the districts. The verification process is being carried out rapidly. He informed that the requisition will be sent to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) for the publication of the advertisement by the 20th of this month.

Domicile Policy to be Implemented This Time
The domicile policy will also be implemented in the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment examination. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had already announced this. It has also been passed by the cabinet. This means that 84.4% of the positions in TRE-4 will be reserved for residents of Bihar. Only 15.6% of the seats will be in the general category. According to the government, priority will be given to those candidates who have completed their matriculation and intermediate studies in Bihar. Domicile has also been made mandatory for women under the 35 percent reservation.

Preparation for Vacancies on 27,000 Posts
Meanwhile, the Education Department is preparing to release vacancies for approximately 27,000 posts in the fourth phase of the teacher recruitment examination. However, teacher candidates are demanding that the vacancies be released for a much larger number of seats. Student leader Dilip Kumar said that the government itself had stated that it would release vacancies for 120,000 seats in the fourth phase by 2025. Teacher candidates had also protested regarding this on September 9, September 19, and October 4. The government had given assurances, but despite this, the Education Minister is now talking about filling only 25,000 to 27,000 vacancies. This is wrong. Students are being treated unfairly. Therefore, we demand that the government stand by its word and release vacancies for at least one lakh positions.

Know how many vacancies were released in each phase:
TRE 1 - 1.70 lakh posts
TRE 2 - 1.22 lakh posts
TRE 3 - 87,774 posts
