Usually, the Mains exam is held 1-2 months after the Preliminary results, so this exam could be held in December or January.

How many papers are there in the Mains?
The Mains exam of the 71st Combined Competitive Examination of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) will have a total of three papers. All will be descriptive, meaning written answers. The first paper will be General Hindi, carrying 100 marks, but its marks will not be counted in the final merit list. Passing is essential. You must score at least 30 marks on this paper; otherwise, the remaining papers will not be checked. All questions will be long-answer questions.
