Who Can Apply?
You must hold an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) degree from a university or college recognized by the Bar Council of India.
You must possess proof that your college/university held recognition from the Bar Council at the time of your studies.
The certificate of recognition must be issued by the Principal or a competent officer of the college/university.
What Are the Experience Criteria?
As of the date of application, you must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an advocate.
This experience will be calculated from the date of your enrollment with the State Bar Council.
The certificate of practice must be obtained either from the Principal District Judge or from an advocate with at least 10 years of experience who has been certified by the Court.
Candidates practicing in a High Court or the Supreme Court must obtain their certificate from an experienced advocate.
Work performed as a Law Clerk will also be counted towards the requisite experience.
The Selection Process
The selection process for the Bihar Judicial Service Competitive Examination will consist of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. Only candidates who successfully clear each stage will be eligible to proceed to the next stage.
