BPSC AEDO: Important Notice from BPSC Ahead of AEDO Exam; Significant Change at One Center—Check Guidelines..
BPSC AEDO Exam Day Guidelines: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued important guidelines for candidates regarding the upcoming examination. According to the Commission, this examination will be conducted in two shifts across 38 districts of the state on April 14, 15, 17, 18, 20, and 21, 2026.
**Arrive Two and a Half Hours Before the Exam**
The Commission has instructed candidates to ensure they carry an extra copy of their e-admit card for the examination in each shift. Furthermore, candidates must reach the examination center two and a half hours before the commencement of the exam, although entry into the examination hall will be permitted only up to one hour prior to the start of the exam.
**Do Not Carry These Gadgets to the Exam Center**
The notice clarifies that no candidate will be permitted to leave the examination hall or premises until the exam concludes. All electronic devices—such as mobile phones, calculators, Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi gadgets, electronic pens, pagers, and smartwatches—are strictly prohibited at the examination center. If any candidate is found in possession of such devices, it will be treated as an act of malpractice.
The Commission also stated that negative marking will be applicable in the examination, wherein one-third of a mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Additionally, any alteration made to an answer (such as the use of correction fluid or an eraser) will result in the answer being deemed incorrect.
**Notice Issued Regarding a Specific Exam Center**
In conjunction with the above, the Commission has also released an important update regarding the Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) examination (Advertisement No. 87/2025). A partial modification has been made to the name of an examination center located in the Samastipur district. Previously listed as "Uchcha Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Harpur Ailoth," the center's name has been revised to "Upgraded Middle School, Harpur Ailoth, Samastipur." The concerned candidates are instructed to appear for the examination at this revised center on the scheduled date and time.
A stern warning has been issued regarding strict action against any act of malpractice or the use of unfair means. If found guilty, a candidate may be debarred from the current examination as well as from examinations for the next five years. Furthermore, spreading misleading or sensational rumors may result in a ban of up to three years.
The Commission has advised candidates to disregard any rumors or misleading information and to obtain information solely from the official website.
