BPSC 72nd Prelims Exam: The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the official advertisement for the 72nd Combined (Preliminary) Competitive Examination to fill vacant posts across various government departments within the state. Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made for a total of 1,230 posts.

**What are the Eligibility Criteria for Application?**
**72nd Combined (Preliminary) Examination:**
For this examination, a candidate must hold a Bachelor's degree (Graduation) from a recognized university. In other words, the candidate must have completed their graduation in any discipline.

**Child Development Project Officer:** A Bachelor's degree is mandatory for this post as well. However, the degree must be in one of the following specific subjects: Home Science, Psychology, Sociology, or Labour and Social Welfare.

**Financial Administrative Officer and Equivalent:** A Bachelor's degree is mandatory for this position; however, the degree must be in one of the following disciplines: Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics.

**Sub-Divisional Protection Officer:** For this post, the Bachelor's degree must be in either Psychology or Law. Candidates will also be required to select one of these same subjects for the Main Examination.

**Age Limit Conditions**
As of August 1, 2026, the minimum age limit—varying according to the specific service/post—has been set at 20 years, 21 years, and 22 years.

**Application Fee Details**
Each candidate is required to pay a separate examination fee of ₹100 for every specific examination they apply for. This fee applies to all the examinations covered under this notification: the 72nd CCE, Child Development Project Officer, FAO, and Sub-Divisional Protection Officer. If a candidate applies for more than one examination, they must pay a separate fee for each examination.

If an Aadhaar number is not provided in the application, an additional biometric fee of ₹200 must also be paid for each examination. Therefore, candidates are advised to ensure they enter their Aadhaar number in the application to avoid incurring this additional expense.
