The Bihar Public Service Commission has released the results of the 71st Prelims exam. Approximately 471,012 candidates registered for the BPSC 71st Prelims exam, of which 316,762 appeared. A total of 14,261 candidates qualified for the BPSC Prelims exam. However, those who passed the Prelims exam are now eagerly awaiting the main exam dates, which are expected to be announced soon.
When will the Mains exam be held?
According to the official notification from the BPSC, the 71st Mains exam will be held in March-April 2026. However, the BPSC has not yet released the mains exam date. The BPSC will release the mains exam dates soon. Candidates who have qualified in the Prelims exam are advised to study regularly for 6 to 7 hours to further strengthen their preparation for the Mains exam.
Main Exam Pattern
The BPSC 71st Mains exam consists of five papers. The first paper is General Hindi, the second paper is General Studies Paper-1, the third paper is General Studies Paper-2, the fourth paper is Essay, and the fifth paper is an optional subject. Each paper in the Mains exam will be of three hours' duration. The Mains exam is conducted for a total of 1100 marks.
