Board Exams 2025: This is how you can overcome the fear of formulas and calculations in the maths exam..

CBSE exams are going on and in such a situation, students are confused about different subjects. In board classes 10th and 12th, students are more worried about mathematics, because even a small mistake in this subject can spoil the entire marks. At the same time, more fear is seen in the students about its formula and calculation. Let us tell you that the mathematics exam in CBSE 10th is on March 10, while the exam in 12th is on March 8.
In such a situation, the city's mathematics expert was talked to, so that the fear of the students could be removed and they could practice this subject well in these few days. Let us tell you, what the experts said.
Make sticky notes of calculations and formulas:
Math expert Mamta Thapliyal said that special attention should be given to calculations in mathematics because a small mistake in calculation can get your marks deducted. Whatever questions are related to calculations, carry the highest marks. Therefore, by practicing previous years' questions well, you can get good marks.
The main thing to keep in mind is that if you do not know a question, then instead of leaving the entire question, write down all the steps that you know, because, in Maths, each step has different marks. In this, instead of deducting all the marks, only a few marks will be deducted. If you are unable to solve the entire question, then writing the formula to solve it will also get you marks.
While writing the answer, do mention the unit, otherwise marks can be deducted. These small steps get you marks. While practicing, make sticky notes of formulas and calculations and keep repeating them. Write it with your own hands, so that you will always remember it.
Keep the concept clear:
Maths expert Meenakshi Bhatt said that while practicing, make a group of two chapters, difficult and easy, this will make practice easier. Keep the concepts of the chapter clear in this. After completing the syllabus, solve the sample paper in three hours and repeat it continuously. Revise the chapters in which you are having difficulty solving the sample paper. Read the concepts. After getting the question paper, solve the questions which you know first. This will save time.
After that, take up the questions which you do not know and write the formulas in them. Do the rough work by putting lines. If you are getting any wrong answer, then solve it again below, and cross out the wrong answer. This will not affect your marks during checking.
Keep these tips in mind in the exam center:
While solving the paper, carry both accuracy and speed together. While solving any question, pay special attention to the plus (+), minus (-), etc. signs used in it. If you write a sign or term wrong, not only will you waste more time in solving the question, but you will also not be able to find the correct answer.
Solve the easy questions first. While solving the exam, keeping an eye on the clock will keep you informed about how much you are going according to your plan. Finally, read the answer sheet and enter the question number correctly. Do cross-check it.
