Bihar STET 2025 Postponed: Online Application Process Suspended, New Dates to Be Announced Soon

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced that the online application process for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2025 has been temporarily suspended due to technical issues. Previously, the registration was scheduled from September 11 to September 19, 2025, but new dates will be released shortly.

Board Statement

BSEB stated in an official notification:
"Candidates intending to apply for STET 2025 are informed that the online application dates, initially scheduled from September 11 to 19, 2025, have been postponed due to technical reasons. The new dates will be announced soon."

Exam Schedule

• Exam Dates: October 4 to October 25, 2025

• Result Announcement: Expected on November 1, 2025

The exam consists of Paper 1 and Paper 2, which are mandatory eligibility tests for secondary and higher secondary teachers. Candidates who pass both papers will receive a lifetime valid STET certificate, required for teaching in government schools in Bihar.

• Paper 1: For candidates who wish to teach classes 9 and 10

• Paper 2: For candidates aiming to teach classes 11 and 12

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 37 years

• Age relaxation:

  • Women, OBC, and EBC candidates: 3 years

  • SC/ST candidates: 5 years
