The Bihar Health Department's State Health Society (Bihar SHS) has announced the exam dates for the ANM (Auxiliary Nurse Midwife) and Ophthalmic Assistant exams. Candidates who registered online for the ANM or Ophthalmic Assistant exams and were waiting for the exam dates can now prepare to appear for the exams soon. Bihar SHS will recruit a total of 5006 ANM positions and 220 Ophthalmic Assistant positions. The exams will be conducted on different days for each post.
Exam Dates
The written exam for ANM will be conducted by Bihar SHS at various examination centers across the state of Bihar between December 17th and 19th. The Ophthalmic Assistant exam will be held on December 20th, 2025.
Admit Card Release Date
According to the official notification issued by Bihar SHS, the admit cards will be released two days before the exam. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official website shs.bihar.gov.in. All candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for updates.
ANM Exam Pattern
Candidates applying for ANM positions will be selected based on a written examination, work experience, and document verification. The written exam will consist of questions worth 60 marks. One mark will be awarded for each correct answer. There is no negative marking in the exam. The written exam will be of a two-hour duration.
Ophthalmic Assistant Exam Pattern
The Ophthalmic Assistant exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks, covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Numerical Ability, and Technical Ability. The exam duration is two hours. There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates who qualify in this exam will be called for the document verification process.
