The Bihar government has invited applications to give a lump sum of Rs 50,000 to graduate students. Earlier, the last date to apply was 5 September. The Higher Education Department of the Government of Bihar has increased it after the last date to apply expired. Now, graduate girl students of Bihar can apply for an incentive allowance of Rs 50,000 till 14 September. The application can be done online. The application can be done by visiting the official website medhafoft.bihar.gov.in.

Who can apply, and what are the conditions?

Graduate female students who are permanent residents of the state of Bihar.

Graduate female students who graduate from a college located in the state from April 1, 2021, to December 31, 2024.

The bank account of the girl students applying for the incentive allowance should be in any bank or post office in Bihar.
The bank account should be linked to the Aadhaar account; only those girl students will be given DBT.
The scheme was started in 2018
The Bihar government started the Chief Minister Girl Graduate Incentive Scheme under the Chief Minister Kanya Utthan Yojana in 2018 to give an incentive allowance to graduate girl students. Initially, under this scheme, Rs 25 thousand were given to graduate girl students, which has been increased to Rs 50 thousand. Now 50 thousand rupees are sent in a lump sum to the bank accounts of graduate students as an incentive allowance.
