Recently, the Bihar School Examination Board released the results for the Intermediate examination. For the students who topped the Bihar Board Class 12 examination, this result represents nothing short of a monumental achievement. However, only the Intermediate examination results have been released so far; students who appeared for the Class 10 examination are still awaiting their Matriculation results. It is worth noting that the Bihar Board could release the Class 10 examination results at any moment.

Consequently, a recurring question arises in the minds of the toppers—as well as the general student body—who excelled in the Class 12 examination: exactly how much cash prize money is awarded to the top-ranking students in the Bihar Board examinations, and what specific facilities are provided to these toppers by the state government?

Toppers to Receive ₹2 Lakhs
The student securing the first position in the state will be awarded a cash prize of ₹2 lakh, along with a laptop and a Kindle e-book reader. Additionally, the student securing the second position in the state will receive ₹1.5 lakh, a laptop, and a Kindle e-book reader. The student securing the third position in the Bihar Board examination will be awarded ₹1 lakh, a laptop, and a Kindle e-book reader. Furthermore, students securing the fourth and fifth positions in the state will receive a cash prize ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹30,000, along with a laptop.

Scholarship Facilities Available
In addition to cash prizes, students who top the Bihar Board examinations will also be provided with scholarship opportunities. Students who top the Class 10 examination will receive a monthly stipend of ₹2,000 to support their studies up to Class 12, while students who top the Class 12 examination will receive ₹2,500 per month to complete their undergraduate studies.

Registration for Scrutiny and Compartmental Exams Begins
There is important news for students who failed the Bihar Board Class 12 examination. Students who were unsuccessful in the Class 12 examination—and now wish to achieve success by retaking the exam—may apply for the Compartmental Examination. Furthermore, candidates who are not satisfied with the marks obtained in the examination may apply for scrutiny. The deadline for registering for the form has been set for April 2.
