Bihar Board: Applications for Class 12 Scrutiny and Compartment Exams Have Begun; Failed Students Should Apply Soon..
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) released the Intermediate (Class 12) results on March 23. The Board has now made scrutiny and compartment forms available for students who are dissatisfied with the marks obtained in one or more subjects, as well as for those who failed the board examination. The deadline for filling out the forms for the scrutiny and compartment examinations is April 2, 2026.
What are Scrutiny and Compartment Exams?
Students who are dissatisfied with the marks obtained in one or more subjects may apply for scrutiny.
Students who have failed the board examination may apply for the compartment exam.
Additionally, students have the option to apply for both if they wish.

Students can apply for scrutiny and compartment exams through the online mode. The forms can be filled out online by visiting the websites intermediate.biharboardonline.com and intermediate.biharboardscrutiny.com.
Payment of Prescribed Fees is Mandatory
When applying for scrutiny, students are required to pay a fee of ₹120 per subject. Furthermore, a separate prescribed fee must be paid when applying for the compartment examination. Details regarding the compartment exam fees can be checked in the image provided below.
85.19% of Students Passed the Board Examination
It is worth noting that a total of 85.19% of students achieved success in the Bihar Board Class 12 examinations. The pass percentage among girls was higher; 86.23% of female students passed the exam. In comparison, 84.09% of male students successfully cleared the board examination.
This year, 26 students emerged as toppers in the Bihar Board Intermediate examinations, 19 of whom are girls. Girls secured the top positions in the Commerce and Arts streams, while a male student topped the Science stream. In the Bihar Board Class 12 Science stream, Aditya Prakash Aman from Samastipur secured the first rank across the entire state with a score of 96%. Following her, Sakshi Kumari from Sitamarhi and Sapna Kumari from Nawada secured the second position. In the Commerce stream, Nishu Kumari from Gaya secured the first position with 479 marks (95.8%). Meanwhile, in the Arts stream, Ritu Kumari attained the first position by scoring 489 marks.
